  1. Introduction to the design of steel framed structures.
  2. Dead, live, snow, wind and seismic loads on structures.
  3. Load combinations.
  4. Elastic analysis of framed structures including imperfections.
  5. Elastic stability analysis of frames and critical load determination by finite elements.
  6. Elastic 2nd order analysis of frames and P-δ and P-Δ phenomena.
  7. Determination of effective buckling length.
  8. Design of beam to column connections and column bases.
  9. Design of steel trussed roofs.
  10. Design of industrial and building steel framed structures.
