DESCRIPTION:First Call for Student Papers \nInternational Conference\n  \nITS 2026 \n“Intelligent Green Mobility and Resilience Society”\n  \n12-13 November 2026\nConference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras \n  \n  \nAre you an undergraduate or graduate student passionate about innovation\, sustainability\, and Intelligent Transportation Systems? Are you interested in presenting your ideas\, research\, or vision for the future of mobility to an international audience? \nHere’s your chance!\n  \nThe International Conference\, ITS 2026: “Intelligent Green Mobility and Resilience Society” is organized by the University of Patras\, Department of Civil Engineering\, on 12-13 November 2026\, at the Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras\, Greece. \nWhat’s ITS all about?\nIntelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) are shaping the future of mobility\, making transportation safer\, faster\, greener\, and smarter. Connected ITS (C-ITS) in vehicles and smart cities\, AI-powered transport\, greener travel options\, and resilient systems can adapt to real-world challenges. \nFrom self-driving cars and drones\, to Mobility-as-a-Service apps and sustainable transport networks\, ITS combine engineering\, data\, design\, and innovation to rethink how people and goods move. \nThrough ITS and C-ITS\, we are shaping the next generation of mobility systems that tackle real- world issues like: \n\nAI-driven transport and connected/autonomous vehicles\nCybersecurity and data management\nSmart traffic networks\, communications\, and safety\nIntermodal mobility\, micromobility\, and mobility as a service (MaaS)\nDrones and logistics optimization\nGreen mobility and environmental impacts\nDecision-making\, policy design\, and policy dialogue\n\n  \nWhy should you get involved?\n  \nBecause we need fresh ideas — your ideas. Whether you’re working on research\, a class project\, a vision concept\, or even a startup idea\, this is a chance to share your work\, get feedback\, and make an impact. \n  \nThe ITS 2026 Conference offers a unique opportunity for students to connect with professionals and researchers from academic/research institutions\, industry\, and the public sector. It provides an inspiring setting to present their work\, exchange ideas\, and discover innovative perspectives that link technology\, sustainability\, and human-centered mobility across transport modes. \nSubmissions will be evaluated by the conference Research Committee for relevance to the conference theme\, quality\, feasibility\, and coherence. All accepted papers will be published in the proceedings of the conference. \n  \nPlease submit your paper exclusively in English in a single pdf file (up to 10mb) by September 21\, 2026. Prove it! The “ITS 2026 Student Paper Award” will be awarded to the best student scientific paper. \nAs part of the conference\, we are inviting students from all over the world to showcase their brightest ideas\, their most creative research\, and their boldest visions for the future of intelligent mobility. This competition is all about recognizing and rewarding the next generation of thinkers and dreamers who want to make transportation smarter\, greener\, and more human. \nEligibility: All authors and co-authors are undergraduate and graduate students from Higher Education Institutions. \nFormat: Eligible participants will be invited to submit a scientific paper of their work and to present it during a dedicated student session. Their work will be evaluated by a scientific committee. \nAward: The best student scientific paper will receive the “ITS 2026 Student Paper Award” at the conference closing ceremony. \nIf you are exploring AI in mobility\, sustainable urban transport\, or innovative design for the future\, this is your opportunity to let your ideas travel far beyond the classroom.
