Project, Infrastructure and City Management Laboratory<\/h2><\/div>The Laboratory of Project, Infrastructure and City Management is a new Laboratory (2021) of the Civil Engineering Department and has replaced the former Laboratory of Transportation Works (founded in 1983) and extended the area of scientific activity in the field of management of the built environment, The Laboratory aims to support and promote teaching and research activities in the areas of new methods and technologies in management and interconnection of structures, infrastructure and cities as well as in the lifecycle management of transportation projects.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

- Optimization and machine learning methods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

- Smart cities, infrastructure and construction, smart grids, energy management and mobility.<\/li>\n
- Machine learning applications in project and infrastructure management.<\/li>\n

- Maintenance and rehabilitation management of road pavements and bridges.<\/li>\n
- Application of new materials (nanomaterials) in road construction projects.<\/li>\n
- Dynamic analysis of pavements under moving loads.<\/li>\n

Personnel<\/h2><\/div>The staff of the Laboratory includes one faculty member, one Emeritus Professor, two postdoctoral associates, eight doctoral candidates, four graduate students and about ten students working on their diploma thesis each year.<\/p>\n
