id=\"tab-f50d59750ba7c67d452\">\n<p>Civil Engineer by training, Dr. Christoforos Pappas after graduating from the National Technical University of Athens in Greece (NTUA, 2010), moved to Switzerland to obtain his PhD degree from the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at the ETH Zurich (2014). After more than ten years of research experience abroad, including academic appointments in Switzerland (Zurich) and Canada (Montreal), Dr. Pappas has joined the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Patras as Assistant Professor and Director of the Laboratory of Geodesy and Geodetic Applications. His research focuses on monitoring and modeling of spatiotemporal geophysical and biophysical phenomena, while his methodological toolbox includes detailed process-based numerical modeling, spatiotemporal data analyses (e.g., observation networks, satellite products), field surveys, instrumentation, and monitoring.
