Hydrodynamics and Coastal Circulation
Intended learning outcome:
• Derivation of the field equations of real fluids (Eq. continuity, momentum, energy) and transport (advection-diffusion)
• Use of the equations for coastal circulation
• Use of simple models for the constituents of coastal circulation (wind-induced, tides, density currents)
Specific knowledge and competences:
• Use of the flow and transport equations and extraction of their inherent scales
• Computation of the basic constituents of coastal circulation
