Stella Tsoka holds a diploma in civil engineering (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – AUTH 2010), a MSc in urban environment planning and urban microclimate (École Centrale Nantes and École d’ Architecture Nantes, 2011) and a PhD in buildings energy performance (AUTH 2019). In 2019 and 2020, she received post-doctoral fundings from the French Embassy/French Institute of Athens and the State Scholarships Foundation respectively. She has served as a teaching associate in undergraduate and post-graduate courses in the Department of Civil Engineering and the School of Interior Design of the University of West Attica and in the School of Architecture of the University of Ioannina, in the scientific areas of sustainable building construction and bioclimatic design. Since 2020 she is a scientific associate in the MSc of Environmental Design of the Hellenic Open University. Since July 2022 she is an assistant professor in the
Department of Civil Engineering, University of Patras in the scientific area of building physics and sustainable building design. She has participated in 7 research projects and she is the author/co-author of 3 book chapters, 17 scientific articles in refereed international journals, over 25 articles in refereed international and national conference proceedings, and 2 technical guides. She serves as a reviewer of about 10 international journals and she has participated in the scientific and organizing committees of 5 scientific events and conferences. Her research interests include the areas of buildings environmental design and thermal comfort, urban microclimate analysis, climate change and buildings energy performance.
